Beach apartments nestled in the littoral forest

Location: Kingscliff, New South Wales

Murphy’s road is a new multi-residential apartment building designed to engage with the unique natural surrounds of the site. The building is located directly on the beach, providing stunning ocean views and breezes.

The design brief focused on creating a connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces. This is achieved through the use of hanging gardens that not only provide an aesthetic element to the building but also provide natural insulation. Each apartment features a combination of indoor and outdoor plants, blurring the lines between interior and exterior.

Materials selected for the building include exposed concrete, white rendered walls, and large wooden slat features. The use of these materials complements the natural surroundings and provides a contemporary yet inviting aesthetic.
