our practice & our team
Established by Matt Cooper in 2000, Aspect Architecture is a boutique, people orientated practice situated only metres from the beautiful beaches of Kingscliff in Northern NSW. Composed of architects and architectural graduates, we’re a friendly, focused, and experienced tight-knit group who work in urban, suburban, regional, and rural contexts. Our completed work includes house renovations, new houses, attached housing, apartment complexes, commercial fit-outs, master planning, and feasibility studies. We collaborate closely with our wide network of clients, associated designers, planners, engineers, and builders to achieve exemplary outcomes.
our philosophy
We believe that architecture plays a fundamental role in the way we experience place, and thus life. We reject architecture for architecture’s sake and focus on the creation of spaces that are beautiful, unique and function in a personable way, meaning that each project responds meaningfully to its setting and occupants. We value craftsmanship, collaboration, creativity, responsiveness, and open dialogue alongside a spirit of communication and collaboration. We strive for socially and environmentally sustainable designs that benefit both our clients and the broader community, whilst aiming to explore and build upon rare opportunities and remarkable ideas in everyday settings.
our vision
As architects, we are uniquely positioned to contribute to every stage of the design process, from conception to completion. We strive to engage with enthusiastic clients who respect the value of the design process and create an open and friendly work environment where architect-client relationships can flourish, ultimately enriching people’s lives through the creation of considered and exceptional architecture.
We work in urban and sub-urban contexts, rural and hinterland properties and are experts in coastal living and design. We work predominantly from Yamba to Byron Bay, Kingscliff, the Gold Coast, Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast and are happy to travel everywhere else.
If you would like to know more about us, our work or any part of the architectural process please just give us a phone call - we are more than happy to answer any questions.
